About Crime and Justice News

Every weekday starting in April 2003, Crime and Justice News has provided a summary of significant news developments from around the nation drawn from news reports, government agencies, interest groups and original reporting. The summary is edited by Ted Gest, a veteran journalist based in Washington D.C.

Starting in January 2021, the news report has been based at Arizona State University, in collaboration with the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, the Academy for Justice at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
